We visited the old Blue Water Grill, now called the BWG Steakhouse (another in a series of pointless name changes), quite a while back. I took lots of photos but have since forgotten most of the meal. Photos below.
Food was pretty good, however there were many complaints that the pork belly skin wasn't crispy. I'm not sure if the kitchen intended for the skin to remain limp, but I'm starting to fall into the 'crisp skin is a must' camp. Without that firm crisp texture, people are reminded of the part of the animal they're eating and it loses a lot of its appeal. I don't want to remember that I'm eating a part of what was a quite happy animal at some stage. I'm paying for someone else to carry that guilt.
Drinks and Service
Very good service. It was quite busy when we arrived, we had a table of 10+ and all of us felt attended to.
This place has one of the best views of any restaurant in Perth. Unfortunately though you don't get the full experience visiting at night. It's a wonderful lunch time venue and it's an ok night time venue.
Pretty good food, service, drinks and feel. It was a shame our pork belly bandits had to send their food back (twice, from memory) but otherwise this place is definitely worth a visit. Suggest you visit at lunch time though to get the best experience.
